The 2018 Hobie® Fishing World Championship presented by Rhino-Rack will return for its second appearance in Europe, on this occasion to the small, friendly township of Amal in Sweden which sits on the shores of Europe’s third largest lake, beautiful Lake Vanern. The seventh world championship will run from May 15-21, including two pre-fish days and three days of highly competitive world championship competition.

Amal (pronounced Or – More – L), is situated in Vastra Gotaland County in Sweden. The small, picturesque town, with just under 10,000 local residents, has a small, safe harbour at the edge of the township which will feature in the world championship as the start and finish location and the event site sitting on its bank.
