Branton Champion is a graduated high school tournament angler from Richmond Hill, Georgia, USA. Branton began his high school career as a kayak angler with the Georgia Highschool Kayak Fishing Association, where, in the span of 25 tournaments, he earned 22 Top Ten placements.
For the last 3 years, Branton has also represented Richmond Hill High School in bass boat tournaments competing in the Student Angler Federation, GHSA, and Georgia B.A.S.S. Nation Trails. Over the course of his high school career, Branton has 6 top ten finishes, 4 top five finishes, and, along with his partner, has been the highest finishing team from his high school in 14 of his 19 boat tournaments. Branton and his partner have qualified for the Student Angler Federation National Championship every year for the last 3 years.
Because of his accolades, Branton has been given the opportunity to continue his fishing career on scholarship at Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, GA.
This is Branton’s first Hobie Worlds Event and and he is excited to have the opportunity to compete along side his father, Ron Champion, and to meet all the amazing anglers who have been invited to compete from around the world.
