As the event start draws closer, anglers from 16 countries have begun arriving at the event hotel in Tecumseh, Canada and the Hobie event crew has been working tirelessly to rig our 52 factory-supplied, identically outfitted, 2024 MIRAGE PRO ANGLER 14 kayaks featuring the advanced 360XR Drive Technology.
Each kayak will be equipped with a Lowrance Elite FS™ with Active Imaging 3-in-1 fish finder, enabling anglers to navigate their surroundings, locate fish, identify structures, monitor water temperature, and more. The fish finders are mounted on RAM mounts for adjustability and quick removal, powered by a Hobie installation kit that includes an FPV lithium battery and charger. The Identical Factory Supplied boats ensure a level playing on which field to determine the next Hobie Fishing World Champion.
The championship kicks off tomorrow afternoon with a welcome and official briefing, followed by two practice days. The real competition starts on Friday, with three days of intense kayak fishing to crown the next Lowrance-Hobie Fishing World Champion.
