The heavens smiled upon us today as we managed to make up some loss set-up time due to rain earlier in the week.
Tasks included fitting the Lowrance Elite FS™ 7 with Active Imaging 3-in-1 fish finder to the Hobie Pro Angler 14 by using the RAM® Mount system then powering them up using the NOCQUA flagship ProSeries 2000 battery.
On the stern we mounted the Power-Pole Micro Anchor with lightweight spike, which is a motorized anchoring system that will be a crucial tool to an angler’s success in this environment. The Power-Pole Micro Lithium Battery will run the Micro Anchor. Hobie’s mount kit attaches the Power-Pole Micro Anchor and spike to the stern of the boat.
In the cargo area of the Hobie kayak (right behind the angler) you’ll find the Hobie H-Crate storage system mounted in this area, to organize their gear.
Hobie rod extenders will be used in the molded-in rod holders on the Hobie Pro Anger 14, which elevates rods and reels to keep them drier and further away from the water’s surface.
With only a few days left before anglers show up for the 9th Hobie Fishing World Championship, August 9th – 15, the Hobie event team busily finalizing the event equipment to catch the competition fish, Pike and Perch.
