Born in raised in rural NE, Kristine had a natural inclination for the outdoors.  She started fishing at an early age, and would go on to work in a hardgoods store selling hunting and fishing equipment out of college.

Her passion, coupled with her competitive nature, led her to kayak fishing.  She was the first female to crack the top three in the Hobie Bass Open on Kentucky lake in 2018, and she would go on to win that event, qualifying her for Hobie Worlds in 2019.

Last fall, she won the highly coveted Tournament of Champions, which would qualify her for worlds a second time.

In the last 3 years fishing the national trails, she’s had over 25 top ten finishes, 5 of those being first place finishes.

She was 4th overall in AOY in the hobie series in 2020, and runner up in AOY last year.

She was also selected to represent Team USA at the Pan Am in Mexico later on this month.

Though she loves the competitive side of the sport, her ultimate goal is to use her platform to inspire, educate, and encourage others to spend more time outdoors.
