I have been kayak fishing for about 16 years, fishing in kayak bass tournaments since 2009. I started out in a sit on top paddle kayak transitioning to my first Hobie Outback in 2016. I currently fish out of the current model of the Outback. Living in Ontario, I have been fortunate to have fished lakes and rivers all over southern and central parts the Ontario and some lakes in the USA, fishing for multiple species, but both largemouth and smallmouth bass are the preferred target species. Recent tournament experience is with the Ontario Kayak Bass Trail and Ontario Kayak Bassmasters, fishing those series since inception. I have fished a few tournaments over the years on Lake St Clair and it has quickly become one of my favourite lakes to fish as the smallmouth bass fishing is world class.
