After a delayed start due to anglers are being held at the beach while we waited for a storm cell to pass. When conditions eased at 9:30, competitors hit the water with the intent to make their mark on the leader board.
Jaxton Orr (USA), Jack Gammie (AUS), Florian Linner (Germany), Ron Champion(USA), and Andrea Cavallini(Italy) fought it out in the top five throughout the afternoon heat upgrading, and one upping each other for the top spot when a late upload by Antoine D.Gagnon(QUE, Canada) cemented a 5″ lead at the end of the day. Those five inches being scored at the end of the day, right out the front of the launch site.
Going into tomorrow’s final day of competition the anglers have their work cut out for them to see who will be victorious in their for the 2024 Hobie Fishing World Championship Title.
